The first anti-hopping clutch with cup spring. A top product for mixed use on the road and racetrack. 90 mm main spring for constant pressure point. Cup secondary spring available in many hardnesses for fine tuning of the engine braking torque
The biggest advantage is that in the braking phase, the clutch does not need to be operated to avoid stamping or locking the rear wheel. This function is handled by the anti-hopping clutch.
Unlike other anti-hopping clutch systems available on the market, STM uses diaphragm springs, not conventional coil springs.
Diaphragm springs guarantee a more uniform and higher pressure on the disc pack with less effort on the clutch lever thanks to the degressive spring action.
The axial movement of the clutch basket aligns the disk pack constantly and thus always forms a maximum of pressure zones. Advantage of this is a lower wear of the clutch basket.

Due to virtually no friction in the anti-hopping clutch, the STM "AHK" has the advantage of significantly lower heat generation. During acceleration, STM anti-hopping clutch transmission torque is not transmitted to the steel balls, but is routed to specially arranged gears inside the anti-hopping clutch
